Adam Charles Mihayo
Chief Executive OfficerMr. Adam Mihayo is an accomplished executive with a wealth of experience in the banking industry and career spanning local and international banks. He joined TCB as Chief Executive Officer following his appointment by the President of United Republic of Tanzania H.E Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan in November 2023. He joined TCB from Bank of Africa (BOA) Tanzania Limited where he served as its Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer. Prior to that Mr. Mihayo assumed senior leadership roles for Absa Bank Tanzania and Stanbic Bank Tanzania. He started his banking career at the National Bank of Commerce (NBC) Limited where he was among the few talented bankers identified for Management Training at Absa Bank in South Africa in 2008. Currently Mr. Adam Mihayo is a Member of the Tanzania Bankers Association, a Board Member of the World Savings and Retail Banking Institute (WSBI) based in Brussels, a Board Member of UmojaSwitch and a former Board Member of the Tanzania Mortgage Refinance Company Limited (TMRC) where he also chaired the Board Credit Committee. Mr. Mihayo holds a Bachelor's Degree in Commerce (Hons) majoring in Corporate Finance from University of Dar es Salaam and has attended a number of senior leadership courses. He is also a certified director by The Institute of Directors in Tanzania (IoDT).
Regina E. Semakafu
Chief Finance OfficerMs. Semakafu has 25 years’ experience in banking industry joined TPB in 1995 and rose through the ranks to hold key positions such as Chief Manager Treasury. Ms. Semakafu was appointed Director of Finance in 2014. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Hons.) from the University of Dar es Salaam and a Master in Business Administration (International Banking and Finance) from the University of Birmingham, United Kingdom. She is a Certified Public Accountant and a holder of ACI certification. Ms. Semakafu is also a certified Director by Institute of Directors in Tanzania, IoDT.
Sosthenes F. Nyenyembe
Director of Internal AuditMr. Sosthenes serves as the Director of Internal Audit at TPB Bank PLC since year 2011. Prior to this he worked as Chief Manager Audit since year 2006. He is a guru in Auditing, Risk management and Governance in both Banks and Financial Institutions. Additionally, he performs audits for the Umoja Switch Company ltd which provides ATM services over fifty banks across the country. Mr. Sosthenes sits in the Audit Committee of the E-Government Public Institution as Board Member. He holds a Master of Business Administration (Finance) from the University of Dar es Salaam and professionally is the Associate Certified Public Accountant ACPA (T) and registered as Director by Institute of Directors Tanzania IoDT.
Mystica Mapunda Ngongi
Company Secretary and Director Legal ServicesMrs. Ngongi is a registered and practicing advocate and notary public of the High Court of Tanzania and all courts below it save for Primary Courts since 2004. She joined TPB in 2006 as a Senior Manager Legal Services from Exim Bank Tanzania and became Chief Manager Legal Services in 2009. Mrs. Ngongi was appointed Director of Legal Services and Board Secretary in 2013. Mrs. Ngongi is a holder of Bachelor of Letters in Law (Hons.) from University of Dar es Salaam, a Master of Business Administration (Corporate Management) from Mzumbe University and is also an Associate Member Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (UK Chapter).
Moses Manyatta
Director of Risk Management and ComplianceMr. Manyatta joined TPB in 1994 as Banking Operations Officer. During the period Mr. Manyatta has been working with the bank and rose through various positions to key positions such as Chief Economist. In 2006. In 2009 Mr. Manyatta was appointed Director of Risk Management Compliance a position being held to-date. Mr. Manyatta holds a Bachelor of Arts (Economics) (Hons) from the University of Dar es Salaam, a Post Graduate Diploma (Strategic Planning and Finance) from The Institute of Housing and Urban Development Studies in Rotterdam (The Netherlands) and a Master of Science (Economics) from the Inter University Institute of Macau (China) (now St. Joseph University). Mr. Manyatta is a certified member of Institute of Directors Tanzania (IoDT). He is a certified member of Risk Management.
Deogratius Kwiyukwa
Director of Marketing and Public RelationsKwiyukwa joined the bank in 2013 as Director of Marketing and Business Development. Mr. Kwiyukwa has experience from the telecom sector and banking having previously worked at Celtel (now Airtel Tanzania) as Zonal Sales Manager and Zantel (part of Etisalat) as Head of Retail Sales. Mr. Kwiyukwa holds an Advanced Diploma (Economic Planning) from Mzumbe University, a Post Graduate Diploma (Business Administration) from Institute of Finance Management and a Master of Business Administration (Marketing) from the University Of Dar es Salaam-Business School.
Wenceslaus Fungamtama
Director TreasuryFungamtama is a financial markets professional with a decade of experience in Treasury Sales and Operations. He joined TPB as Senior Manager Treasury in 2012 from Standard Chartered Bank where he was responsible for FX Sales. He was promoted to Chief Manager Treasury in 2014. Before that, he worked for KCB Bank in Treasury Operations and Trade Finance. Mr. Fungamtama received his Bachelor of Science from Sokoine University of Agriculture and an MBA (Finance) from University of Dar es Salaam. He is a certified member of ACI, a leading global Financial Marketis Association.
Erick Zakayo
Chief Manager ProcurementZakayo joined TPB in 2015 as a Senior Procurement Officer and was promoted to Chief Manager Procurement. Mr. Zakayo has previously worked in the Pharmaceuticals and Construction industries. Mr. Zakayo holds an Advanced Diploma in Procurement and Supplies Management from the College of Business Administration and is a Certified Procurement and Supplies Professional by the Procurement and Supplies Professionals Technical Board.
Diana Myonga
Director of Human ResourcesDIANA MYONGA Director of Human Resources and Administration Ms. Myonga joined TPB Bank in 2006 as Senior Manager Administration. Ms. Myonga was promoted to Chief Manager Administration and Corporate Services in 2009 before being appointed Acting Director of Human Resources and Administration in 2018. Ms. Myonga holds an Advanced Diploma in Materials Management from Mzumbe University and a Masters Degree in Business Administration (Corporate Management) from Mzumbe University. John Mwangulangu
Chief Manager Project ManagementMr. John Mwangulangu is a seasoned registered engineer with extensive experience spanning multiple sectors, including telecommunications and banking. He joined TCB as Chief manager project management and brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the role. Mr. Mwangulangu holds a Master of Business Administration in Corporate Management from Mzumbe University and is a certified professional engineer registered with the Engineers Registration Board (ERB). Additionally, he holds various project management certifications from the Project Management Institute and leadership certifications from esteemed institutions. Prior to his tenure at TCB, Mr. Mwangulangu served as the head of the administration department at Bank of Africa Tanzania and worked as a consultant on numerous ICT projects.
Jesse Jackson
Chief Manager Digital and InnovationJesse Jackson joined TCB Bank in June 2024 as the Chief Manager Digital and Innovation. With over a decade of experience in Banking and financial services industry. Jesse has been a pivotal force in driving digital transformation and fostering innovation in several prestigious global and regional banks. Before his tenure at TCB Bank, Jesse held the position of Chief Digital Officer at Bank of Africa Tanzania. His career also includes significant roles at Barclays Bank Tanzania and ABSA Bank Tanzania from 2014 to 2022, where he excelled in developing Digital products, Managing channels, enhancing Operational efficiency and Customer experience, Spearheading Innovation, Project and change management, Strategic Fintech partnerships and Commercialization. Daniel F. Mbotto
Director of creditDaniel F. Mbotto joined TCB Bank in 15th April 2024 as Director of credit , has played a Pivotal role in fostering the expansion and advancement of the financial industry in Tanzanja for the past decades. With more than Sixteen years Of refined experience in strategic leadership for financial institutions nationwide, he is an invaluable asset to the bank. During his three-year tenure as Chief credit Officer of NMB Bank PLC, he oversaw work ethics culturally and strategically, established risk appetite, and fostered innovation in digital lending and sustainability. Furthermore, under his direction, a profitable lending portfolio in East Africa with a book value of $3.4 billion was managed at a cost of risk of less than 1.2%. Before joining NMB Bank PLC, he oversaw Credit Risk Management at Stanbic Bank Tanzania, where he oversaw origination, monitoring and control and Collections and Recoveries for both domestic and international clients across all segments. Mr. Mbotto possesses nearly two decades of expertise and experience in the field, having worked for numerous institutions on a national and international scale, most notably as Head of credit. Loisiligaki Memirieki
